Radiating ceilings
The modular radiating plaster ceiling (PRP) is a heating system integrated into
a suspended ceiling. Electric heating films, powered through a specialized electrical
power supply line, are laid on special plaster boards with a radiation surface.
The 1200 mm x 600 mm heating panels have a unit power of 85 W to 88 W, and heat
the surface plaster boards to a maximum temperature of about 35°C. The underside
of the ceiling then diffuses mild warmth toward all surfaces in the room, mainly
by radiation. This system has many advantages in terms of comfort, including
perfectly silent operation, no induced air mixing and no spaces that collect
dust, completely free areas, ease of regulation, programming and management,
fast temperature increase (useful for areas used intermittently), possibility
of zoning, creation of zones with different programs.
Reflectance
The ratio of radiation reflected by a surface to the radiation incident on the
surface; the reflectance of a surface varies for different wavelengths and incidence
angles.
Relative humidity
The mass of vapour contained by air at a given temperature expressed as a percentage
of the mass of vapour that would cause saturation
at the same temperature.
